Why “Justice4tlc”

On April 14, 2023, my first cousin, Thaddeus Lawrence Coleman (TLC), was reported missing to the East Cleveland Police Department. Two weeks later, on April 29, 2023, his lifeless body was discovered floating in Lake Erie at the marina by a fisherman. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, on June 21, 2023, concluded that Thaddeus had “intentionally drowned himself in the lake.” However, a closer look at the circumstances reveals several inconsistencies that cast doubt on this ruling. For instance, Thaddeus's car was found abandoned at Forest Hill Park, which is approximately five miles from the marina and features a sizable pond. It is illogical to suggest that a man of his build would have walked such a distance to the marina to end his life by drowning when a body of water was immediately accessible at the park. Moreover, the timeline and location of the discovery raise questions about how and why his body ended up at the marina rather than the nearby pond. These discrepancies, combined with the absence of concrete evidence supporting suicide, strongly suggest foul play. Further fueling suspicion, individuals believed to be involved have made suggestive posts on social media. Shortly after I gave a voluntary statement to law enforcement and posted a biblical reference about risk and reputation, one defendant shared ominous images on Instagram: the first showed her reclining near a small pool with a large body of water in the background, captioned “Risk and you shall receive,” and the second depicted her elevated above a chair as if defying gravity. The timing and content of these posts, echoing language I had used in my statement, appeared to allude to Thaddeus's fate and implied a veiled threat. Taken together, these facts point to a pattern of behavior that cannot be ignored and demand a thorough reexamination of the case.

“I Know What You Did to Me”

In February 2018, with dreams of sharing my story on a larger stage, I relocated to Los Angeles, California, to pitch my first novel to Hollywood. The book—a true crime memoir titled Emerging Cleveland Strangler: The Vernice Crutcher Untold Story—represented years of research and deeply personal investment. My passion for the project was fueled further when a respected true crime podcaster reached out for an interview, which was met with a positive reception. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to pursue even greater creative ambitions, and I began to imagine a full-scale production with Cleveland native Halle Berry in the role of Vernice Crutcher. Buoyed by the possibility of seeing my work come alive on screen, I also explored new creative territory that fall. In November 2018, I wrote and pitched an original horror script, I Know What You Did to Me, to the Kardashian family via Instagram DM—a story inspired by the 1997 classic, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” In my version, Kim Kardashian becomes the unsuspecting victim of a prank gone wrong, and her mother, Kris Jenner, desperately seeks to protect her remaining daughters by disposing of Kim’s body in the ocean, while a “fisherman” looms as the antagonist. Looking back, I remember the nervous excitement and hope I felt as I pursued these opportunities; pitching to Hollywood was both thrilling and daunting, a validation of my creativity and a test of my resilience. Yet, five years later, on April 29, 2023, eerie parallels between the script’s plot and my cousin’s tragic fate sent a chill through me. The overlap in details left me haunted, wondering if it was all just a coincidence, or something more unsettling.

After the pitch to the Kardashians, my anti-virus protection software kept issuing reports that my computer had been attacked by “malicious malware.” I tested my suspicions of who might be behind this cyber-attack. The evidence consistently indicated it was presumably the Kardashians. They allegedly hacked my laptop to steal the potentially lucrative screenplay. Initially I contacted their attorney, and it persisted. I was compelled to take legal action. I sued them in Los Angeles Superior Court for copyright infringement and invasion of privacy. Unfortunately, after a perceived veil threat from one of the defendants, I dismissed without prejudice the lawsuit. The court did so officially on March 16, 2023. As stated on April 14, 2023, my first cousin disappeared. Two weeks later his floating body is found at the marina. Mind you, his abandoned car was found a day after his disappearance at Forest Hill Park. Some five miles from the marina. Noteworthy is the fact the park has a large pond. Why would a hefty man walked that distance to the marina to “drown self in lake,” when the pond was right there after exiting his vehicle? The suicide premise has too many gaping holes. The evidence clearly points to foul play. The circumstances surrounding TLC demise points to the high-profile defendants.

Whistleblower to local Law Enforcement

On July 15, 2023, I gave a "Voluntary Statement" to the East Cleveland Police Department. On July 18, 2023, I did a video recorded interview with the Cleveland Metroparks Police, who oversee the marina. That same day, Defendant Kim Kardashian posted two photos on Instagram: one of her reclining by a pool against a water backdrop, captioned "Risk and you shall receive," and another showing her lifted above a chair by her hands.

The timing of this post seemed suspicious, as I had left Cleveland Metroparks only hours earlier. A term from my Voluntary Statement submitted to East Cleveland Police three days before— “The risk is high for the reputation and careers”—was also used. Her caption appeared to reference my July 13, 2023, Instagram post with Jesus mentioned in a bible text. Was her caption a sinister spin on his famous words at Matthew 7:7? Was this a veiled threat? Did the first image suggest death, and the second imply I might face the same fate as my cousin—drowning and being found in a lake?

On January 5, 2024, I filed another civil case against the same high-profile defendants in the U.S. Northern District of Ohio, assigned to Judge J. Philip Calabrese. Facing a team of about 12 attorneys while representing myself, I fought hard throughout the ten-month process. The judge unexpectedly closed the case on October 22nd, the day after one defendant's birthday, with a ruling I believe contained errors and bias. Noting several concerning issues during proceedings, I appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit the following month.

On December 10, 2024, I submitted my principal brief to U.S. Attorney Ms. Lutzko. She resigned three weeks later, on January 3, 2025. On June 9, 2023, Rebecca C. Lutzko, was appointed by President Joe Biden to be the US Attorney for the Ohio Northern District. On July 1, 2024, I posted an Open Letter on my social media accounts and mailed her a copy of the whistleblower groundbreaking document.

It contained a searing indictment of high-profile celebrities accused of foul-play (aggravated murder of my cousin Thaddeus L. Coleman) covered up by local authorities, along with the muted press and media. The civil case in the district court was allegedly sabotaged by the compromised judge. I appealed his surprise closing of the case to the US Appeals Court Sixth Circuit. A full copy of my brief was mailed to US Attorney Rebecca C. Lutzko on December 10, 2024. All 64 pages.

Abruptly without any disclosure she stepped down three weeks later January 3, 2025. Was it out of fear of prosecuting the high-profile defendants?

Or for a more sinister reason, was she bribed or threatened to step down? To make way for an appointment by the current president, Donald J. Trump. The district judge was appointed by President Trump in his first term.

Will the current US Attorney Ohio ND David Toepfer prosecute the ten high profile celebrities for conspiracy in the abduction and aggravated murder of Thaddeus L. Coleman? This case uniquely challenges “Equal protection under the law,” vs Power and influence. Will rule of law prevail?

Time will tell.

Will the Honorable Judge J. Philip Calabrese decide in favor of the Defendants and grant dismissal or in favor of the Plaintiff and render a “DENIED” decision against the Defendants?
